calandar was originally created for Chinese royalty by a scientist. Today, you can find the conception calandar on display at the Beijing Institue of Science, Beijing China.

The Ancient Chinese Lunar calandar has been called many names, such as: pregnancy calandar, gender prediction calandar, moon calandar, birth calandar, fertility calander, gender calandar, conception calandar and even ovulation calandar. Although it is doubtful that the scientist that created the Chinese calandar would have used these names

Using the Chinese Pregnancy Calandar

Many pregnant mothers who have used the pregnancy calandar have found it to be quite accurate in predicting the gender of their child. Oftentimes while waiting for an ultrasound test, many couples decided to see if they could figure out the the gender of their child by looking into the ancient prediction methods of the Chinese
Chinese Lunar Calandar

A lunar calandar is a calandar oriented at the moon phase.

This is normally done by having a month which corresponds to a lunation so that the day of month indicates the moon phase. If a calandar tracks the seasons, it is also a lunisolar calandar.

Since there are about twelve lunations (synodic months) in a solar year, this period (354.37 days) is sometimes referred to as lunar year, corresponding to thirteen sidereal months (355.18 days).

Examples of Lunar Calandars
Most lunar calandars are also lunisolar calandar, such as the Hebrew calandar, Chinese calandar and Hindu calandar, and most calandar systems used in antiquity. The reason for this is that a year is not evenly divisible by an exact number of lunations, so without any correction the calandar year will drift with respect to the seasons. The only widely used purely lunar calandar is the Islamic calandar, whose year always consists of 12 lunations. As a result of this, it is mostly used for religious purposes,

These fractions can be used in the construction of lunar calandars, or in combination with a solar calandar to produce a lunisolar calandar. The 49-month cycle was proposed as the basis of ternative Easter computation by Isaac Newton around 1700 [1]. The tabular Islamic calandar's 360-month cycle is equivalent to 24×15 months minus a correction of one day.
alongside a secular solar calandar, and Islamic celebrations perform a full circle with respect to the seasons every 33 years.

Using the Chinese Lunar Calandar to determine the beginning of the month
For some lunar calandars, such as the Chinese calandar, the first day of the month is determined by the day during which the moment of new moon arrives, according to a particular time zone. Many other lunar calandars are based on first sighting of the lunar crescent. Thus, different lunar calandars differ in which day is considered the first day of the month.

The length of a month orbit/cycle is difficult to predict and varies from its average value. Because observations are subject to uncertainty and weather conditions, and astronomical methods are highly complex, there have been attempts to create fixed arithmetical rules.

The average length of the synodic month is 29.530589 days. This means the length of a month is alternately 29 and 30 days (termed respectively hollow and full). The distribution of hollow and full months can be determined using continued fractions, and examining successive approximations for the length of the month in terms of fractions of a day. In the list below, after the number of days listed in the numerator, an integer number of months as listed in the denominator have been completed:

  29 /   1   (error: 1 day after about  2 months)
The recently invented Yerm calandar makes use of all of the above approximations.

Lunar year
Lunisolar calandars that try to reconcile lunations with the solar year have to operate with intercalary months, resulting in a thirteen-month year every two or three years.

In England, a calandar of thirteen months of 28 days each, plus one extra day, known as "a year and a day" was still in use up to Tudor times. This would be a hybrid calandar that had substituted regular weeks of seven days for actual quarter-lunations, so that one month had exactly four weeks, regardless of the actual moon phase. The "lunar year" is here considered to have 364 days, resulting in a solar year of "a year and a day".

As a religious tradition, the thirteen-month years survived among European peasants for more than a millennium after the adoption of the Julian calandar.

The "Edwardian" (probably Edward II, late 13th or early 14th century) ballad of Robin Hood for example has "How many merry months be in the year? / There are thirteen, I say ...", amended by a Tudor editor to "...There are but twelve, I say....". Robert Graves in the introductions to Greek Myths comments on this with "Thirteen, the number of the sun's death-month, has never lost its evil reputation among the superstitious."

Chinese Lunar Pregnancy Prediction Calandar

The Chinese fertility calandar is utilized to predict if the gender of your baby is a boy or girl. This Ancient Chinese Lunar Calandar was created over 4000 years ago and was rediscovered about 700 years ago hiding inside of a royal tomb. The pregnancy
pregnancy calandar. As well, some couples have even gone as far as to plan the conception of their baby in order to have a boy or girl. Whatever way you choose, it's always a lot of fun in trying to guess the gender of your baby before birth.

If you are interested in determining the gender of your baby, the Chinese fertility calandar might just be able to help!

The pregnancy calendar is divided into two categories, age of the mother and months of conception.

First, find the age of the mother which is usually located in the far left column of the conception chart. The age of the mother at conception* is the number to select, not the age of the mother she is expected to deliver.

Next, find the month when the baby was conceived, located in the top row of the chart. If you are trying to predetermine your baby's gender, plan to conceive in the months that indicate the preferred gender of your baby.

Now find the letter that intersects between the age and month rows that you have selected. If the letter is an F, the Chinese conception calandar predicts the gender of your baby to be female, or a girl. If the letter is an M, the Chinese conception caladar predicts the gender of your baby to be male, or a boy.

This calendar can be used by either putting your age and the month when you conceived. Then if it turns out on the pink side that means you are expecting a girl and if it is on the blue side, it means it will be a boy child. For example – If a mother is 20 years and she conceived in June that means she is expecting a male child.

To predict the gender of a baby, find the age of the mother at conception (left) and the month that conception occured (top). The Chinese pregnancy calandar or conception calandar will give you a prediction about whether the gender of your baby is to be a boy or girl.

Age of mother at conception*

Example: If the mother is 28 years old at the time of conception and the baby was conceived in June, according to the Chinese Lunar conception calandar, the gender of her baby is predicted to be a girl.

Keep in mind that if the baby prediction calandar predicts a boy child, it may not necessarily be a boy, it could be a girl also. The prediction is to be used for entertainment only, so have fun!
